Pune: 610 kg Motichoor Laddu Prepared in Baner, Sets World Record
Baner, 25th October 2025: On the auspicious occasion of Diwali Padwa and to celebrate the 61st birthday of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a massive 610 kg Motichoor Laddu was prepared at the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Raikar Farm, Baner, creating a unique world record.
To make this record-breaking sweet, 150 kg of gram flour (besan), 300 kg of sugar, and 150 kg of ghee were used. The laddu has been officially recognised in the Winners Book of World Records as the “Largest Birthday Laddu in the World.”
The record was inaugurated by Chandrakant Dada Patil, Maharashtra’s Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Textiles, and Parliamentary Affairs.
On this occasion, Dr. Esha Agarwal, Chairperson of the Winners Book of World Records and Miss India, formally announced the achievement.
During the ceremony, the World Record Certificate was presented by Chandrakant Patil to:
BK Dr. Deepak Harke, the first Indian to achieve 184 world records,
BK Dr. Triveni, Director of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Baner Service Centre, and
Jalindar Walkhe Patil, Director of Samruddhi Caterers.
The initiative, inspired by Amit Shah’s dedication to public service, aimed to spread a message of love, unity, and harmony in society.
Later, the 610 kg Motichoor Laddu was distributed among four orphanages, symbolising the spirit of sharing and joy during the festive season.
