UAE Army Medical Delegation Visits Armed Forces Medical College, Pune
Pune, 31st October 2025: A three-member medical delegation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Army visited the Armed Forces Center for Computational Medicine (AFCCM), Department of Medical Research, at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune on October 30, 2025.
The delegation, led by Colonel Saeed Mohammed Abdulla Alardi Alnuaimi, was received by Major General Atul Seth, Vishisht Seva Medal, Dean and Deputy Commandant of AFMC Pune.
During the visit, the UAE officers were briefed on AFMC’s achievements in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications in healthcare. They were also given insights into the institution’s ongoing cutting-edge research in medical technology.
As part of the engagement, a hands-on coding session was organised to provide the officers with an immersive experience into the technological frontiers of modern healthcare. The delegation was also taken on a guided tour of the AFMC campus.
The visit concluded with an interaction between the delegation and Lieutenant General Pankaj P. Rao, Director and Commandant of AFMC Pune.
