Pune RTO to Launch Faceless Service for Reserving MH-12 YX Fancy Vehicle Numbers from November 20
Pune, 19th November 2025: Vehicle owners in Pune will soon be able to reserve special registration numbers in the newly launched MH-12 YX series without visiting the transport office. The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has announced that the online window for booking these fancy numbers will open on November 20, 2025, at 12 noon, and the process will be completely faceless.
The Deputy Regional Transport Officer confirmed in a press release that no offline applications or payments will be accepted. Citizens must complete the entire procedure digitally through the official fancy numbers portal:

This initiative is part of the RTO’s broader push towards seamless digital services. The faceless system—introduced on November 25, 2024—enables applicants to authenticate themselves using an OTP sent to their Aadhaar-linked mobile number and proceed with reserving a desired vehicle number from their home.
With the rollout of the MH-12 YX series, residents can now apply for attractive or premium numbers under the updated category, further streamlining the convenience of vehicle registration in the city.
