Petrol Dealers Meet Pune Police Commissioner

Pune, 20th November 2025: The Pune Police have assured petrol pump staff of strict action and enhanced security following recent incidents of violence against employees in the district.

A high-level meeting was held today between the Petrol Dealers Association, Pune, and the Hon’ble Commissioner of Police, Pune City. During the discussion, the Commissioner confirmed that protecting petrol pump staff is a top priority and pledged that offenders would face immediate action.

Narendra Ruparel, representing the Association, said, “The Commissioner has assured us that such incidents will be firmly curbed, and concrete security measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of our employees. This proactive approach is very reassuring for all of us.”

A detailed coordination meeting with senior police officials is scheduled in the coming days to finalise the action plan. Present from the Association were Vijay Lande, Dyaneshwar Walhekar, Kakasaheb Zambare, Kalidas More, Narendra Ruparel, and Bhagyendra Chudasama.

Dhruv Ruparel, President of the Petrol Dealers Association, said the meeting reflected the authorities’ commitment to safeguard employees and maintain law and order.
