Pune to See Slight Drop in Night Temperatures Over Next 2–3 Days, Says IMD
Pune, 26th November 2025: After a relatively mild week, Pune may see a slight drop in night-time temperatures over the next two to three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Officials said the fall will be modest, ranging between 1°C and 2°C.
“Minimum temperatures could drop to around 15°C in some parts of the city, but we do not expect a sharp decline like the last cold spell,” said an IMD official. “This is due to an expected influx of northwesterly winds — cold, dry currents coming from the north — over the next couple of days.”
The official added that the wind flow is likely to be weak, so the temperature decrease will remain limited.
The IMD’s national bulletin on Tuesday echoed this outlook, forecasting little change in minimum temperatures across central India over the next two days, followed by a gradual fall of 2°C to 3°C.
On Tuesday, Shivajinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 17.2°C, while Pashan dropped to 16.6°C. Lohgaon and Chinchwad saw minimums of 20°C and 20.3°C, respectively. Lavale registered 19.7°C and Koregaon Park recorded 20.1°C. Maximum temperatures across the city ranged between 29°C and 32°C.
The official also commented on a weather system over the Strait of Malacca. “Currently, it is a depression. While there is a possibility it could intensify into a deep depression, we have not predicted it to become a cyclone. The system is far away, and it remains uncertain whether it will have any impact on Maharashtra’s weather.”
