Mundhwa Land Scam Case: Court Extends Sheetal Tejwani’s Police Remand
Pune, 24th December 2025: A court on Tuesday extended the police custody of Sheetal Tejwani till December 29 in connection with an alleged land fraud involving government land in Mundhwa near Koregaon Park.
Tejwani was arrested by Bavdhan police under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate as part of the ongoing investigation. She was produced before the court on Tuesday after the completion of her earlier police remand.
During the probe, police told the court that an office boy employed at Tejwani’s office had allegedly signed documents as a partner of Amadea Enterprises LLP to facilitate the sale of nearly 40 acres of government land in Mundhwa near Koregaon Park. The documents allegedly include an application related to the adjudication process, an affidavit, and an authority letter.
Police said they are investigating financial transactions and the exchange of documents between Tejwani and the office staffer.
Bavdhan police also informed the court that inputs provided by social activist Anjali Damania and RTI activist Vijay Kumbhar have been taken on record. Several disclosures made by RTI activists in connection with the case have been submitted to investigators. Police further stated that Tejwani has not been cooperating with the investigation.
Police sought an extension of custody, stating that further custodial interrogation is required to probe payments allegedly made by Tejwani to lawyers for documentation purposes and to verify documents related to the case that have circulated on social media. Senior Police Inspector Anil Vibhute of Bavdhan police station and Public Prosecutor Nitin Adagale told the court that custodial interrogation was crucial for the investigation.
Accepting the prosecution’s plea, the court extended Tejwani’s police custody till December 29.
