Pune Woman Booked for Throwing Boiling Tea on Husband During Domestic Argument

Kothrud, 2nd January 2026: A 22-year-old woman has been booked by Kothrud police for allegedly causing grievous hurt after she reportedly threw boiling tea on her husband during a domestic dispute on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at the couple’s residence around 10.30 am. The husband, a 27-year-old security guard, sustained burn injuries to his chest and face and was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Police said the couple had been married for about a year. Following the incident, the man approached the police and filed a complaint against his wife, based on which a case was registered.

Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Deshmane said the incident took place during a heated argument between the couple. “The victim is out of danger and his condition is stable,” he said.

Further investigation is underway.
