Large Voter Turnout in PCMC as Citizens Use Online Voter Search and Helpline
Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th January 2026: People in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area are turning up to vote in large numbers as polling continues for the PCMC General Elections 2026, with civic officials attributing the strong turnout partly to easy access to voter information through online and helpline services.
To assist voters in locating their names on the electoral roll and identifying their polling booths, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has provided an online voter search facility on its official website. Through this service, citizens can check their part number and serial number in the voter list, along with the complete address of their polling station.
The facility is available under the “Search Voter Name” link on the PCMC website www.pcmcindia.gov.in. Since its launch, the service has been used by 39,356 citizens. Of these, 5,438 voters contacted the Sarathi helpline to obtain details of their polling centres, while 33,918 citizens accessed the voter search option directly through the municipal website.
According to officials, several callers to the Sarathi helpline said they had received voter slips from various political parties but wanted to verify whether the polling centre mentioned on the slip was correct. The helpline was used to confirm accurate polling booth information before heading out to vote.
PCMC Commissioner and Election Officer Shravan Hardikar said the initiative aims to improve voter turnout across the city by ensuring voters have accurate and easily accessible information. He appealed to citizens to make maximum use of the online voter search facility or contact the Sarathi helpline on 8888006666 to confirm their polling booth details and participate actively in the democratic process.
