77th Republic Day Observed Across Pune Division of Central Railway

Pune, 26th January 2026: The 77th Republic Day was observed across stations, depots and offices of Pune Division, Central Railway, with the main समारोह held at the Railway Institute Ground, Tadiwala Road, Pune.

The national flag was unfurled by Rajesh Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division, followed by inspection of a joint ceremonial parade comprising contingents of the Railway Protection Force, Civil Defence, St John Ambulance, and Scouts and Guides. The parade was coordinated by the Divisional Security Commissioner. A demonstration by the Dog Squad was also conducted during the event.

Addressing the gathering, the Divisional Railway Manager highlighted ongoing works related to passenger services, safety measures and infrastructure development across the Division, and acknowledged the efforts of railway officers and staff.

A cultural programme featuring patriotic performances by railway employees and their children was organised with the support of the Cultural Academy. Senior officials, including the Additional Divisional Railway Manager, officers and staff of various departments, were present. The programme was coordinated by the Personnel and Security departments.

Republic Day celebrations were also held at the Little Angels School operated by the Women Social Service Organisation, where the national flag was unfurled and cultural performances were presented by students. Fruits and gifts were distributed to patients at the Divisional Railway Hospital by members of the Women Social Service Organisation.

In addition, Republic Day was marked at multiple depots and stations across Pune Division. Railway officers, employees and their families participated in the celebrations held at various locations.
