24-Year-Old Killed After Tractor Hits Two-Wheeler on Nagar Road in Pune

Pune, 10th February 2026: A 24-year-old man was killed after a tractor rear-ended a two-wheeler on Nagar Road in the Wadgaon Sheri area on Sunday afternoon (February 8).

The deceased has been identified as Hariba Bansilal Bhalerav (24), a resident of SRA Colony, Viman Nagar. The complaint was lodged by the two-wheeler rider, Pravin Gokul Naik (29), a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Chowk near the vegetable market in Chandan Nagar, at the Airport Police Station.

According to police, Naik and his friend Hariba were travelling on a two-wheeler along Nagar Road when a speeding tractor rammed into them from behind near the Wadgaon Sheri traffic signal. Hariba fell under the tractor’s wheels and suffered severe injuries, while Naik was thrown off the vehicle.

Hariba was rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared dead before treatment could begin. Following the accident, police took the tractor driver, Venkatesh Lokesh Rathod (28), a resident of Wadgaon Shinde on Lohgaon Road, into custody and served him a notice.

Assistant Police Inspector Khirsagar is investigating the case.
