Pune, 23rd March 2026: In a key administrative move, the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in Pune will be shifted from Mundhwa to Pashan, with the new facility becoming operational from March 30.

Currently, the PSK operates from the Zero One Building on Ghorpadi-Mundhwa Road in Pingle Vasti. The centre will now function from the Mont Claire Building located on Baner-Pashan Link Road, where services will be provided from the first-floor commercial premises.

Appointment Holders Advised to Note Change:
Officials have stated that applicants with appointments scheduled on or after March 30 must report directly to the new Pashan facility instead of the existing Mundhwa centre.

The relocation has drawn varied reactions from citizens across the city. Residents from eastern localities such as Hadapsar, Koregaon Park, Viman Nagar, Kharadi, and Kondhwa have raised concerns over increased travel time and inconvenience.

On the other hand, people living in western and north-western areas, including Pimpri-Chinchwad, Aundh, Baner, Hinjawadi, and Balewadi, are expected to benefit from improved accessibility due to the new location.

Urban planning experts have highlighted that Pune’s rapid and multi-directional growth requires a more balanced distribution of public services. Some have suggested that instead of relocating the facility entirely, authorities should consider operating two Passport Seva Kendras, one each in Mundhwa and Pashan, to ensure better accessibility for residents across different parts of the city.
