Pune/Solapur, 1st April 2026: Panic was reported among passengers after the glass window of an AC coach broke in a running train on the Mumbai–Hyderabad route on Wednesday evening, raising safety concerns among passengers onboard Train No. 22732.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred in coach B2 of Train No. 22732, which runs from Mumbai to Hyderabad. The train had departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 14:10 hrs and the incident reportedly took place near Jeur Railway Station at around 20:30 hrs while the train was in motion.

Passengers in the coach reported that the glass panel of the AC coach window suddenly broke while the train was running. No injuries were immediately reported, but passengers expressed concern over safety, especially as the incident occurred in an air-conditioned coach where windows are sealed and designed for safety.

Passengers onboard the coach reportedly informed railway staff and travelling ticket examiners after the incident. The coach was inspected after the train slowed at the next station, and railway staff took note of the situation.

Train No. 22732 operates between Mumbai and Hyderabad and passes through major stations including Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi and Solapur before entering Telangana.

Railway officials have not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the glass breakage. The exact reason whether due to external impact, material failure, or another technical issue will be known after inspection by railway technical staff.

Passengers have raised concerns about coach safety and maintenance, especially in long-distance trains, and have demanded a detailed inquiry into the incident.
