Pune, 2nd April 2026: Ruby Hall Clinic is set to host ISNOCON 2026, the Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology, from April 2 to 5, 2026. Recognised as the 17th conference of its kind globally, the event will bring together leading national and international experts in neuro-oncology, placing Pune firmly on the global map for brain and spinal tumour care. The conference will be inaugurated by Ms. Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson of Bajaj Finserv CSR, alongside Dr. Purvez Grant, Dr. Simon Grant, Ms. Natalie Grant Nanda, Mr. Urvaksh Bhote, and the clinic’s leading oncology team including Dr. Bhooshan Zade, Dr. Mansi Munshi Girme, and Dr. Neeraj Dhingra

Designed as a clinically focused, multidisciplinary platform, ISNOCON 2026 will bring together neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiation and medical oncologists, neuropathologists, and radiologists. The conference is especially relevant for residents, fellows, and early-career specialists, offering case-based discussions, proffered papers, expert-led sessions, and hands-on workshops. The scientific programme spans molecular diagnostics, advanced imaging, precision radiotherapy, and emerging targeted and immunotherapy approaches, ensuring strong real-world clinical relevance.

The conference features a distinguished international faculty, including Prof. Martin van den Bent (Netherlands), Prof. Dr. Shanop Shuangshoti (Thailand), Dr. Areeba Patel (Germany), Dr. Santosh Kesari (USA), Dr. Vinay Puduvalli (USA), Dr. Deepa Sampath (USA), and Dr. Ashwatha Narayana (USA), all globally recognised for their contributions to neuro-oncology and translational cancer research.

The event coincides with a historic milestone: the 50th anniversary of Ruby Hall Clinic’s Department of Radiation Oncology. Since establishing the first radiotherapy facility in Maharashtra (outside Mumbai) in 1976, the department has pioneered life-saving technology. Its legacy includes being the first in Asia (excluding Japan) to introduce MVCBCT-IGRT in 2005 and launching the advanced Cyberknife S7 in 2023. With over 25,000 patients treated and 500,000 therapy sessions delivered, the clinic remains a beacon of innovation and precision care

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. P.K. Grant, Chief Cardiologist, Chairman and Managing Trustee, says, “As we mark 50 years of our Radiation Oncology department, it is a moment to reflect on how far cancer care has evolved and our continued commitment to bringing the most advanced, patient-centric treatments to India. Alongside this, we are deeply committed to ensuring that no child is denied care due to financial constraints, and we are providing free cancer treatment for paediatric patients in need.”

Dr. Simon Grant, Physician and Trustee, adds, “The convergence of global expertise with India’s clinical experience creates a powerful platform for knowledge exchange. The future of Radiation Oncology at Ruby Hall Clinic is focused on expanding our academic and research footprint. With six presentations at ESTRO 2025 and four more scheduled for 2026, alongside a robust DNB teaching program, we remain committed to advancing high-quality clinical research and prospective trials that will shape the next generation of cancer care.”

Dr. Bhooshan Zade, Chief Consultant & Director of CyberKnife Radiosurgery & Radiation Oncology, adds, “With the growing complexity of neuro-oncology, platforms like ISNOCON are essential to align clinical practice with the latest scientific advances. At Ruby Hall Clinic, our focus is on integrating precision radiotherapy, advanced imaging, and multidisciplinary expertise to deliver more accurate and effective treatment for patients.”

With its global faculty, strong scientific programme, and clear clinical focus, ISNOCON 2026 reinforces Ruby Hall Clinic’s commitment to advancing oncology care while celebrating a proud 50-year legacy in radiation oncology.
