Pune: Quick Response by Two Traffic Policemen Posted at Market Yard Helps Save Man’s Life
Pune, 27th April 2026: Two traffic policemen posted at Market Yard Chowk in Pune were praised for their quick response after they helped save the life of a man found unconscious on the road on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Pune City Traffic Branch, Head Constable Tanaji Raut and Police Constable Deepak Gadge were on duty at around 12.20 pm when they noticed a man lying unconscious near Market Yard Chowk.
Realising the seriousness of the situation, the two policemen immediately shifted him to Rao Nursing Home for emergency medical treatment without wasting any time.

Officials said the timely assistance helped save the man’s life. He was identified as Dattatray Randhave (47), a resident of Charoli. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Dr Prakash Patil, Chief Medical Officer of Rao Nursing Home, said the prompt action and humanitarian approach shown by the policemen was commendable. He added that the patient’s life was saved because help reached in time.
The civic-minded action of the two personnel has drawn appreciation from various quarters, with many praising their sense of duty and compassion.
