Three Juveniles Held for Damaging Vehicles in Wagholi

Pune, 28th April 2026: Pune Police have detained four suspects, including a 19-year-old youth and three juveniles, for allegedly vandalising several vehicles in Wagholi during the early hours of April 27.

According to police, the incident took place around 3 am on Wagholi-Lohegaon Road near Morya Fashion Lane in Wagholi, where a group of unidentified persons damaged parked vehicles and fled the spot.

A case was subsequently registered at Wagholi Police Station, following which Crime Branch Unit 7 launched an investigation on the instructions of senior officers.

Police said the accused were traced using CCTV footage and technical surveillance. During the probe, Police Constable Nitin Dhadge received information that the suspects had gathered at Jadhav Vasti on Bhawadi Road in Wagholi.

Acting on the tip-off, a team from Crime Branch Unit 7 conducted a raid at the location and detained four suspects. During questioning, they allegedly confessed to their involvement in vehicle vandalism incident, police said.

The accused have been identified as Amit Prakash Kavre (19), a resident of Sai Park, Lane No. 8, near Ganesh Mandir, Raisoni College area in Wagholi, along with three juveniles.

All four have been handed over to Wagholi Police Station for further investigation and legal action.

Police said the operation was carried out under the guidance of senior Crime Branch officers by a team led by Assistant Police Inspector Madan Kamble and personnel of Unit 7.
