Pune, 7th May 2026: NCP leader and son of Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar, Jay Pawar on Thursday held his first Janata Darbar in Baramati, drawing a large turnout of residents who approached him with civic and personal grievances.

The public outreach initiative, launched to address citizens’ issues directly, saw people from across Baramati — including differently-abled and hearing-impaired residents — attending the programme and seeking intervention in various matters.

During the interaction, Jay Pawar heard complaints related to civic amenities, welfare schemes and administrative delays, and contacted concerned government officials on the spot, asking them to take immediate action on several issues raised by citizens.

Party workers said the initiative would now be held every Thursday in Baramati as part of an effort to establish direct communication with residents and ensure quicker resolution of grievances.

Several differently-abled citizens who attended the programme said they received prompt attention to their concerns. Some participants also drew comparisons between Jay Pawar and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, stating that both leaders responded quickly to public issues and grievances.

Addressing those present, Jay Pawar assured citizens that issues concerning common people, especially differently-abled and hearing-impaired individuals, would be given priority and followed up with the administration regularly.
