Community Tree Plantation Drive Held at Raheja Vista Premier in Pune
Mohammadwadi, 7th May 2026: In a commendable initiative promoting environmental sustainability and community participation, residents of Raheja Vista Premiere on NIBM Road organised a tree plantation drive within their society premises and nearby areas.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, including women and children, who planted several 5 to 6-foot-tall saplings as part of an effort to create a greener and healthier environment. The initiative aimed to address rising temperatures, improve air quality, and spread awareness about environmental responsibility.
Society members gathered early in the morning to actively participate in the plantation activity and support the cause. Residents said tree plantation should not be treated as a one-day event, but as a long-term commitment towards protecting nature and securing a better future for coming generations.
Speaking about the initiative, residents highlighted that global warming and climate change are major concerns that require collective action at the community level. They also announced plans to organise a second phase of plantation in the coming weeks to further increase green cover in the area.
The residents have additionally taken responsibility for the regular watering and maintenance of the saplings to ensure their healthy growth and long-term sustainability.
Residents said such community-driven environmental initiatives can serve as a positive example for urban housing societies and demonstrate how small collective efforts can create a meaningful impact on the environment.
