Pune: Maharashtra Class 10 Results Announced;Overall Pass Percentage Drops by 2% Compared to Previous Year
Pune, 8th May 2026: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the Class 10 (SSC) examination results for February-March 2026 online on Friday, May 8. A total of 92 percent students have passed the examination across the state. According to Board Secretary Dr. Deepak Mali, the overall result has declined by 2 percent compared to last year.
A total of 15,55,026 regular students had registered for the SSC examination from the state’s nine divisional boards — Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. Of these, 15,42,472 students appeared for the examination, while 14,20,486 students successfully passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 92.09 percent.
The board official stated that 6,612 schools in the state achieved a 100 percent result, while 4.82 lakh students passed with first class marks. The pass percentage among girls stood at 94 percent.
A total of 10,031 specially-abled students had registered for the examination across the nine divisional boards. Of them, 9,912 students appeared for the exams and 9,042 passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 91.22 percent.
Among all divisional boards, the Konkan division recorded the highest result at 97.62 percent, while the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division recorded the lowest at 88.41 percent.
The overall pass percentage of girls was 94.96 percent, while boys recorded 89.56 percent, meaning girls outperformed boys by 5.40 percent.
For the February-March 2026 SSC examination, the board conducted exams for a total of 64 subjects, out of which 20 subjects recorded a 100 percent pass result.
