Pune FYJC 2026: First Merit List to Be Released on May 29 After Technical Delays

Pune, 23rd May 2026: The schedule for the centralized online Class 11 admission process has been revised for the second consecutive day due to technical issues on the admission portal.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has now extended the deadline for student registration, filling Part Two of the admission form, and submitting college preferences until May 25. The first merit list will now be released on May 29.

More than 11 lakh students have registered for the Class 11 admission process across Maharashtra.

The regular first round of the centralized online admission process began on Thursday, during which students were required to fill Part Two of the application form and select their preferred junior colleges.

However, the admission website experienced heavy traffic and technical glitches on Thursday, causing the portal to crash temporarily. Following complaints from students and parents, authorities initially extended the deadline until May 23.

Despite the extension, technical problems persisted on Friday, prompting the education department to issue another revised schedule.

Officials said efforts are underway to resolve the technical issues and ensure the smooth completion of the admission process.
