Supriya Sule Visits Congress Bhavan in Pune, MVA Leaders Discuss MLC Election Strategy

Pune, 2nd June 2026: In a significant political development ahead of the Pune Local Authorities Constituency Legislative Council (MLC) elections, Member of Parliament and senior Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leader Supriya Sule visited the historic Congress Bhavan in Pune on Tuesday to discuss the alliance’s electoral strategy.
Sule, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), was received by senior Congress leader, former mayor and newly appointed Pune West District City Congress President Deepti Chaudhari, veteran Congress leader Ankush Kakade, NCP leader and group leader Chandu Kadam, along with Congress corporators and party workers.
During the meeting, MVA leaders held detailed discussions on strengthening coordination among alliance partners and formulating a strategy for the upcoming local body MLC elections. The leaders also reviewed the political situation in Pune and explored ways to consolidate support among elected representatives.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for senior leaders to reflect on their long-standing political association and discuss issues related to the city’s development. Participants reiterated their commitment to strengthening the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in the run-up to future electoral contests.

Following the meeting, the leaders jointly addressed the media and underscored the close working relationship between the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party.
“The relationship between the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party extends beyond electoral politics. It is rooted in shared values and a common vision. Today’s discussions will help strengthen our preparations for the upcoming elections and further reinforce the unity of the Maha Vikas Aghadi,” the leaders said.
The meeting was attended by senior office-bearers, party functionaries and a large number of workers from the constituent parties of the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
