Pune, 8th June 2026: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a protest in Pune on June 11, seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests.

In a post on X, the organisation said, “Cockroaches will demand Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in Maharashtra’s educational capital, Pune.” According to the party, the protest will be held at Savitribai Phule Pune University at 4 pm on June 11.

The demonstration is expected to focus on alleged paper leaks and irregularities in competitive examinations, issues that the Gen Z-led outfit has been raising through protests across the country.

Announcing the protest, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke urged supporters to gather in Pune, often referred to as Maharashtra’s educational hub. He called on members of the Gen Z-led movement to participate in the demonstration.

The planned agitation comes days after CJP members staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6, where they raised similar demands and sought action over alleged lapses in the conduct of examinations across the country.

Speaking about the movement recently, Dipke said the CJP’s campaign has remained peaceful and should not be compared with youth-led protests seen in neighbouring Nepal and Bangladesh. He also reiterated that the organisation is a Gen Z platform and does not have any affiliation with political parties.
