According to the police, the action was initiated in the early hours of Monday after a patrol team noticed loud music coming from a bungalow in Puranik Society in the Bhangarwadi area of Lonavala. The noise had allegedly disturbed the peace of the residential neighbourhood.

Acting on the information, police conducted a raid at around 1.30 am and found several young men and women allegedly consuming alcohol inside the bungalow. Preliminary investigations revealed that the gathering was being held without the necessary permissions.

Lonavala City Police Inspector Sachin Patil said the accused had allegedly created a disturbance and engaged in obscene acts. He added that liquor was being possessed and consumed illegally on the premises.
