Pune Ketan Agarwal Case : Murder Plot Rehearsed on Market Yard Hill Before Lohagad Killing, Claim Police
Pune, 1st July 2026: The Pune Rural Police have claimed to have uncovered fresh details in the murder of realtor Ketan Agarwal, with investigators alleging that the two accused rehearsed the killing days before pushing him off a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18.
According to the police, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, during custodial interrogation, admitted to carrying out a trial run on a hillock near Market Yard to rehearse the sequence of the crime. Investigators said they would soon visit the location to conduct a spot panchnama and document the alleged reconstruction of events.
Police have also seized the scooter allegedly used by Chaudhary to travel to Lohagad Fort on the day of the murder. Officials said they plan to recreate the crime scene at the fort in his presence. Chaudhary remains in police custody till July 3.
Meanwhile, investigators are set to conduct a gait analysis of Chaudhary after CCTV footage from the foothills of Lohagad captured a person resembling him. The forensic examination, which analyses an individual’s walking pattern, is expected to help establish the identity of the person seen in the footage and strengthen the prosecution’s case.
