Pune: Compound Wall Collapses Onto Parking Shed in Jambhulwadi Society After Heavy Rain, Seven Cars and Seven Two Wheelers Damaged
Katraj, 5th July 2026: A compound wall of Samruddhi Lake Society on Jambhulwadi Road collapsed onto a parking shed around 3.24 am on Sunday after heavy overnight rain, trapping several vehicles beneath the debris.
Teams from the Katraj and Sinhagad fire stations of Pune Municipal Corporation, carried out a rescue operation using angle grinders to cut through the twisted iron framework and remove the collapsed sheets. Fire personnel safely pulled out seven cars and seven two-wheelers from the damaged parking area. No injuries were reported in the incident.
