Pune-Mumbai Train Cancelled: Deccan Queen, Deccan Express Among Major Services Hit by Landslides

Pune, 9th July 2026: Central Railway has announced the cancellation, diversion, short termination, short origination, and rescheduling of several train services following multiple landslides on the Lonavala–Karjat section. The disruptions have affected train operations on one of the busiest rail corridors connecting Mumbai and Pune.

According to an update issued at 9 pm on July 8, several prominent trains, including the Deccan Queen, Deccan Express, and Intercity Express, have been cancelled for July 9.

Trains Cancelled
Scheduled to depart on July 8:
11041 Dadar–Sainagar Shirdi Express
01436 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)–Solapur Special

Scheduled to depart on July 9:
12124 Pune–CSMT Deccan Queen
12123 CSMT–Pune Deccan Queen
11007 CSMT–Pune Deccan Express
11008 Pune–CSMT Deccan Express
12127 CSMT–Pune Intercity Express
12128 Pune–CSMT Intercity Express
11042 Sainagar Shirdi–Dadar Express
Scheduled to depart on July 10:
11027 Dadar–Satara Express

Short-Terminated and Short-Originated Trains
12116 Solapur–CSMT Express (July 8) will terminate at Pune instead of CSMT.
11301 CSMT–Bengaluru Express (July 9) will originate from Pune instead of CSMT.

Diverted Trains
The following trains have been diverted via Thane–Diva–Panvel–Karjat:
22105 CSMT–Pune Express (July 8)
11007 CSMT–Pune Deccan Express (July 8)
12702 Hyderabad–CSMT Express (July 7), diverted via Karjat–Panvel–Diva–Thane.

Services Restored
Central Railway also announced the restoration of normal operations for several previously diverted or curtailed services, including:
22160 Chennai–CSMT Express
22180 Chennai–LTT Express
11302 Bengaluru–CSMT Express
16340 Nagercoil–LTT Express
12115 CSMT–Solapur Express
16339 LTT–Nagercoil Express
11030 Kolhapur–CSMT Express
11020 Bhubaneswar–CSMT Express
11139 CSMT–Hospete Express

These trains will either operate on their normal routes or from their original originating stations.

Rescheduled Trains
Several long-distance services have also been rescheduled, including:
01025 Dadar–Ballia Special: 7:00 pm instead of 2:05 pm
11019 CSMT–Bhubaneswar Express: 9:15 pm instead of 2:00 pm
22157 CSMT–Chennai Express: 11:30 pm instead of 10:52 pm
12261 CSMT–Howrah Express: 12:20 am (July 9) instead of 5:15 pm (July 8)
17629 Hadapsar–Nanded Express: 6:00 am (July 9) instead of 9:50 pm (July 8)
12939 Pune–Jodhpur Express: 11:30 pm instead of 5:30 pm
22106 Pune–Solapur Express: 8:35 pm instead of 6:35 pm
22150 Pune–Ernakulam Express: 12:30 am (July 9) instead of 6:45 pm (July 8)
20496 Hadapsar–Jodhpur Express: 11:15 pm instead of 7:15 pm
22186 Pune–Ahmedabad Express: 5:00 am (July 9) instead of 8:10 pm (July 8)

All of the above trains will operate on their normal routes.

Passengers are advised to check the latest train status before commencing their journey, as operational changes may continue depending on restoration work on the Lonavala–Karjat section.
