Ashadhi Wari 2026: Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram Palkhis to Reach Pune Today; Live Tracking Activated
Pune, 9th July 2026: Pune is set to welcome the Palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj later today as the Ashadhi Wari 2026 progresses towards the city. Lakhs of devotees are expected to line the streets to welcome the revered processions.
To assist devotees and commuters, Pune Police have activated a live tracking facility that allows people to monitor the movement of both Palkhis in real time.

Today’s Schedule (July 9)
Arrival in Pune: Both Palkhis are expected to enter Pune later today.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi: Depart from its overnight halt at Akurdi and is proceeding via Chinchwad, Pimpri, Nashik Phata, Dapodi, Khadki, Wakadewadi, and Patil Estate before joining the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi procession.
Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi: Proceeding from Alandi via Vishrantwadi and Sangamwadi towards Shivajinagar before reaching its designated halt.
Estimated arrival at halt points: Around 7:30 pm.

Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi: Nana Peth
Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi: Bhawani Peth (Vithoba Temple area)
Major roads, including stretches of FC Road, Shivaji Road, Laxmi Road, Sangamwadi, Wakadewadi, and several areas in the Peth localities, are expected to witness phased closures and traffic restrictions throughout the day as the processions move through the city.
Tomorrow’s Schedule (July 10)
Both Palkhis will remain in Pune for a full-day halt, allowing devotees to offer prayers and seek darshan at their respective halt locations in Nana Peth and Bhawani Peth.
Traffic restrictions will continue across central Pune, with additional diversions expected around the halt points. The Palkhis are scheduled to resume their onward journey towards Saswad on July 11.

Pune Police have implemented extensive traffic diversions and advised commuters to avoid major routes such as FC Road, Garware Bridge, Laxmi Road, and the Peth areas wherever possible. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes, while restrictions on heavy vehicles will remain in force.
