Pune, 15th July 2026: Crafting Happy Memory Spaces– Close to Nature, a book by Reshma Hajite, Director of Excellence Home, was launched at Hotel Central Park, Bund Garden, Pune, on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Guest Dr Ganesh Natarajan and members of the Rotary Club of Pune Riverside.
The book serves as a comprehensive guide for families, NRIs and business owners looking to invest in a second home or farmhouse, while aiming to help one million Indian families own legally clear land with complete peace of mind.
Hajite’s book explores the importance, due process and challenges involved in finding a home away from home. It highlights the growing appeal of living closer to nature and explains how choosing the right location plays a crucial role in creating spaces for rest, recreation and long-term value.
“People refrain from buying land mostly because they fear they might be making the wrong decision. The only solution is to do your due diligence and collaborate with a team of professionals who can guide you through the process,” Hajite said.
The trend of buying land is no longer limited to personal use. While many continue to invest in second homes for leisure, an increasing number of buyers are purchasing agricultural land to develop staycation properties and rental homes through platforms such as Airbnb, StayVista and OYO Rentals as a source of additional income.
“Most are also investing in second homes, especially farmhouses, an hour or ninety minutes away from the city, owing to an interest in farming and agricultural practices and also, for health-related reasons, just to be in fresh air,” she added.
Described as India’s first comprehensive guide to owning a farmhouse plot and second home, the book takes readers through every stage of the process, from land acquisition and legal verification to location strategy, selecting the right professionals and contractors, identifying essential amenities, optimising the property for rental income, and building a long-term family legacy.
Written in simple, accessible language, it aims to simplify what many consider a complex investment decision.
