Speaking on the occasion, Nilesh Sule, Founder of CC&Co, said, “The way businesses look at office spaces has undergone a significant transformation over the last few years. Companies today seek flexibility, convenience, superior infrastructure and a professional environment without having to make large capital investments.”
“As hybrid work models became increasingly common, businesses particularly small and mid-sized companies in the IT and services sectors prefer centrally located offices with the flexibility of a pay-as-you-use model which will drive the growth of this segment”, said Lovell Prabhu, COO, CC&Co.
While sharing some interesting facts about the growth of co-working spaces Nilesh Sule said that according to various surveys conducted by top notch agencies about 20% of India’s total gross office leasing is now in the form of flexi / co-working space format which is the highest proportion among all major economies in the world.
Importantly, Pune leads all Indian cities at 14–16% flex penetration (co-working spaces) of total Grade-A office space, ahead of Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR. Pune’s flexi space / co-working space segment has shown 33% CAGR since 2019 which is fastest in India. According to an estimate, Pune has a population of about 400 + active co-working / flexi office spaces spread across about 6 million square feet. Almost 40% of these spaces are being used by IT and BFSI segments.

Today, CC&Co has 3 locations with 500 plus seats in Pune and is planning to expand its base further in Pune and to other cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Goa and Dubai taking the total tally of seats to 1500 in the next 2 years time.
