Pune: Armed Youths Vandalise Vehicles in Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa; CCTV Footage Surfaces

Mundhwa, 17th July 2026: Panic gripped residents of Keshav Nagar in Pune’s Mundhwa area after three unidentified youths allegedly vandalised several parked vehicles with a sickle in the early hours of Friday. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and police have launched an investigation.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place at around 3:30 am on July 17 in a residential locality of Keshav Nagar. CCTV footage shows three masked youths arriving on a motorcycle before entering the area while shouting, “Gaurya kon aahe? Surya kon aahe?” (Who is Gaurya? Who is Surya?).
The trio allegedly used a sickle to attack a four-wheeler parked outside a bungalow and went on to damage several other vehicles in the vicinity. One car sustained significant damage, while multiple other parked vehicles were also vandalised.
The incident comes amid a series of vehicle vandalism cases reported in Pune in recent weeks, raising concerns among residents over law and order.
Police suspect the attack may have been the result of previous enmity, though the exact motive is yet to be established. Investigators are examining the CCTV footage and working to identify the accused.
