Pune: One Dead After Massive Fire Breaks Out at Paint Material Godown in Kondhwa’s Vetal Nagar
Kondhwa, 17th July 2026: A massive fire broke out at a godown storing paint materials in Vetal Nagar, Kondhwa, on Friday, triggering a major emergency response from the Pune Fire Brigade.
Three fire engines were rushed to the spot after the incident was reported. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control after intensive firefighting operations, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
According to officials, one person sustained severe burn injuries in the incident. In a subsequent update, authorities confirmed that the injured person succumbed to the injuries, taking the death toll to one.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Fire department personnel and police officials are conducting further investigations to determine the circumstances that led to the blaze.
