PMC Announces Day-Long Water Cut in Large Parts of Pune on July 30
Pune, 27th July 2026: Water supply will remain suspended across several parts of Pune on Thursday, July 30, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance work at the Lashkar Water Purification Centre and the associated pumping station. Civic officials said the shutdown is essential to carry out repair and maintenance works to ensure the smooth functioning of the city’s water distribution system.
PMC has also cautioned that water supply on the morning of Friday, July 31, is likely to resume late and at low pressure, urging residents to store adequate water in advance and use it sparingly during the disruption.
The shutdown will affect a large number of localities, including Bibvewadi, Market Yard, Gultekdi, Salisbury Park, Maharshi Nagar, Swargate, Camp, Pune Cantonment, Wanowrie, Fatimanagar, Ramtekdi, Hadapsar, Shewalewadi, Manjari, Kondhwa, NIBM Road, Undri, Mohammadwadi, Ghorpadi, Mundhwa, Kharadi, Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park, Yerawada, Vishrantwadi, Dhanori, Lohegaon, Khadki, Sangamwadi, Shivajinagar, Deccan, Model Colony, Bopodi and adjoining areas. Several other neighbourhoods connected to the Lashkar water supply network will also experience the shutdown.
The civic body has appealed to residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate with the administration, as normal supply is expected to stabilise only after the maintenance work is completed and the distribution network is recharged.
