Pune: Mayor Ravi Landge Orders Permanent Fix for Kudalwadi’s Vishnu Greens Society Garbage Problem Within 15 Days

Pimpri Chinchwad, 30th July 2026: Pimpri Chinchwad Mayor Ravi Landge on Thursday directed civic officials to prepare and implement a permanent solution within 15 days to address the chronic garbage accumulation near Vishnu Greens Society in Kudalwadi, following an inspection of the area and complaints from local residents.

During the visit, Landge interacted with residents and reviewed civic issues affecting the locality. Citizens complained about the large quantities of garbage dumped near the society, poor sanitation, and recurring incidents of plastic, tyres and scrap material being set on fire, causing severe air pollution. The mayor inspected the site along with civic officials and took stock of the situation.

Later, Landge held a meeting with Additional Municipal Commissioner Kuldeep Jangam, Deputy Commissioner Dr Pradeep Thengal and Regional Officer Ajinkya Yele to discuss measures for improving waste management. He instructed officials to strengthen regular cleaning operations, curb illegal garbage dumping, take coordinated action to prevent pollution, and ensure prompt redressal of citizens’ complaints.

The mayor directed the officials to prepare an action plan within the next 15 days and implement permanent measures to resolve the garbage problem in the Vishnu Greens area. He also instructed all concerned departments to work in coordination to prevent future garbage accumulation, maintain cleanliness, and take strict action against those responsible for pollution.

Speaking on the issue, Landge said the garbage problem near Vishnu Greens was not merely a sanitation issue but a serious public health and environmental concern.

“I have directed the concerned officials to complete effective measures within the next 15 days to permanently resolve the issue. It is the civic body’s responsibility to provide every citizen with a clean, safe and healthy environment. Waste management will be strengthened, and strict action will be taken against those responsible for causing pollution. No issue affecting citizens’ welfare will be ignored,” he said.

Landge also appealed to residents to cooperate in keeping the city clean and urged them to immediately report incidents of illegal garbage dumping or burning to the municipal corporation.

Municipal officials, civic staff and local residents were present during the inspection.
