Revised Ambulance Fares Fixed for Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Baramati Regions by RTO

Pune, 11th August 2026: Revised fares for ambulances operating under the jurisdiction of the Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Baramati Regional Transport Authority have been implemented, Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Archana Gaikwad said on Tuesday.

The revised fares will be applicable for the return journey from the point at which the patient boards the ambulance. Vehicle owners and drivers who fail to strictly adhere to the prescribed fare chart will face penal action, Gaikwad said.

As per the revised fare structure, the charges for non-air-conditioned Maruti vans will be Rs 700 for up to 25 km or two hours, followed by Rs 16 per additional kilometre and Rs 125 per hour for waiting. The daily charge or charge for up to 300 km will be Rs 4,000. An additional Rs 1,000 per day will be applicable towards expenses excluding fuel, maintenance, repairs and driver charges.

For non-air-conditioned Maruti Eeco and Tata Magic ambulances, the fare will be Rs 900 for up to 25 km or two hours, Rs 17 per additional kilometre and Rs 125 per waiting hour. The daily or 300-km charge will be Rs 4,500, with an additional Rs 1,200 per day towards expenses excluding fuel, maintenance, repairs and driver charges.

For non-air-conditioned Mahindra Bolero and Force Cruiser ambulances, the fare will be Rs 1,200 for up to 25 km or two hours, Rs 18 per additional kilometre and Rs 150 per waiting hour. The daily or 300-km charge will be Rs 5,000, with an additional Rs 1,500 per day towards expenses excluding fuel, maintenance, repairs and driver charges.

For non-air-conditioned Force Tempo Traveller ambulances, the fare will be Rs 1,500 for up to 25 km or two hours, Rs 22 per additional kilometre and Rs 175 per waiting hour. The daily or 300-km charge will be Rs 7,000, with an additional Rs 2,000 per day towards expenses excluding fuel, maintenance, repairs and driver charges.

For an air-conditioned Force Tempo Traveller ICU ambulance, the fare will be Rs 2,500 for up to 25 km or two hours, Rs 30 per additional kilometre and Rs 250 per waiting hour. The daily or 300-km charge will be Rs 10,000, with an additional Rs 4,000 per day towards expenses excluding fuel, maintenance, repairs and driver charges.

Gaikwad further said ambulance owners and drivers found charging fares above the prescribed rates will face penalties. A fine of Rs 5,000 for the first offence, Rs 10,000 for the second offence and Rs 20,000 for the third and every subsequent offence will be imposed.
