Pune: 55-Year-Old Passenger Suffers Chest Pain on PMPML Bus; Driver Rushes Him to Hospital
Pimpri, 17th August 2026: A 55-year-old passenger travelling on a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus was taken to hospital after he suddenly complained of chest pain and became unwell during the journey from Pimpri to Chakan on Sunday morning.
According to information available, the incident occurred around 6:50 am on August 16 when the passenger, a resident of Chakan, was travelling towards Chakan. When the bus reached near the gate of Dr. D. Y. Patil Arts, Commerce and Science College in Pimpri, he reportedly began experiencing discomfort, sweating and chest pain.
The bus driver and conductor noticed the passenger’s deteriorating condition and immediately diverted the bus to the premises of Dr. D. Y. Patil Hospital. The passenger was taken to the hospital without delay for medical assistance.
Emergency treatment initiated
On arrival at the hospital, the PMPML staff alerted the Emergency Department. Doctors admitted the passenger to the casualty department and started primary and emergency treatment.
Doctors said the passenger is currently undergoing treatment and his condition is stable.
