‘Amrit Varsha’ to Present a Melodious Afternoon Raga Treat

Pune, 17th August 2026: With the aim of offering music lovers an opportunity to experience the rich tradition of afternoon ragas in Indian classical music, Asmant Benevolence Foundation has organised a special musical programme, ‘Amrit Varsha – An Afternoon Raga Treat’. The programme will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 3 pm to 6 pm at the auditorium of SNDT College on Karve Road, Pune. The program is open to music lovers free of charge.

The program will feature a vocal recital by Pt. Omkarnath Havaldar, accompanied by Pt. Ramdas Palsule on tabla and Sameer Havaldar on harmonium. Through his rendition, Pt. Havaldar will present the distinctive characteristics and emotive depth of afternoon ragas, offering audiences an opportunity to experience the aesthetic beauty of Indian classical music.
