Pimpri Chinchwad, 19th August 2026: Pune district collector Jitendra Dudi has directed all concerned departments to complete 22 pending land acquisition works in the Pimpri Chinchwad area before October 31, asking officials to work in “mission mode” and coordinate closely to expedite the process.
Dudi was speaking at a review meeting convened following a representation by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge regarding land acquisition for the Pune-Nashik Highway and measures to ease traffic congestion. Officials from the special land acquisition offices and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation attended the meeting.
Dudi directed the civic body to make provision for 30% of the required amount towards land acquisition for missing links on DP roads. He also asked officials to fix dates for land surveys and plan them so that surveys at all locations could be completed on a single day.
He directed the authorities to adhere to the deadlines set for handing over acquired land and ensure that all land acquisition-related matters are coordinated and planned together. Officials were also asked to regularly review pending cases and remove hurdles immediately so that work on DP road missing links could be completed on time.
Landge said coordinated efforts by the municipal corporation and other departments to complete the land acquisition process would significantly help reduce traffic pressure on the Pune-Nashik Highway.
