Pune, 19th August 2026: The Election Commission of India has announced a revised schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Maharashtra’s Assembly constituencies, with November 4, 2026, set as the date for publication of the final voter list.

The revision is being conducted with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. The schedule has been revised to facilitate the completion of technical work related to the rationalisation and restructuring of polling stations and the preparation of draft electoral rolls.

As per the revised schedule, the rationalisation and restructuring of polling stations will be completed by August 24, 2026. The draft electoral roll will be published on August 31, 2026.

Voters and other stakeholders will be able to submit claims and objections regarding the draft electoral roll between August 31 and September 30, 2026.

The process of issuing notices on claims and objections received and disposing of them will be carried out from August 31 to October 29, 2026.
Following completion of the revision process, the final electoral roll for Maharashtra will be published on November 4, 2026, the Election Commission of India said.
