Pune Yard Block to Disrupt Train Services on August 23; 6 Trains Cancelled

Pune, 20th August 2026: Train services in the Pune-Daund section will face changes on August 23 due to a nine-hour special traffic and power block in Pune Yard for engineering, signalling and telecommunication (S&T), and overhead equipment (OHE) works.

The block will be operated from 8 am to 5 pm on Sunday, August 23, for replacement of DDS Point Nos. 251 (II & III) and 252 (I & II) on the UP SUR line and conversion of the existing 52KG layout to a 60KG layout.

During the block, UP Mail/Express trains arriving from Hadapsar cannot be admitted on Platforms 3, 4, 5 and 6 at Pune station. DN Mail/Express trains also cannot be dispatched from Platforms 4, 5 and 6 towards Sasvad Road.

As a result, the Pune Division has announced cancellations, short terminations, short originations and regulation of trains.

Six trains cancelled

The following trains will remain cancelled on August 23:

– 71404 Daund–Pune DEMU
– 71405 Pune–Daund DEMU
– 71420 Satara–Pune DEMU
– 71407 Pune–Daund DEMU
– 11007 CSMT Mumbai–Pune Express
– 11008 Pune–CSMT Mumbai Express

Eight trains to short terminate

The following services will terminate before reaching Pune:

– 12940 Jaipur–Pune Express — JCO August 22; short terminated at Khadki.
– 12136 Nagpur–Pune Express — JCO August 22; short terminated at Hadapsar.
– 11078 Jammu Tawi–Pune Express — JCO August 21; short terminated at Hadapsar.
– 12127 CSMT Mumbai–Pune Express — JCO August 23; short terminated at Khadki.
– 11406 Amravati–Pune Express — JCO August 22; short terminated at Hadapsar.
– 99813 Lonavala–Pune Suburban — JCO August 23; short terminated at Shivajinagar.
– 99907 Talegaon–Pune Suburban — JCO August 23; short terminated at Shivajinagar.
– 71406 Baramati–Pune DEMU — JCO August 23; short terminated at Daund.

Six trains to short originate

The following trains will start their journeys from intermediate stations:

– 11425 Pune–Kolhapur DMU — JCO August 23; will originate from Satara.
– 12939 Pune–Jaipur Express — will originate from Khadki at 5:35 pm.
– 12135 Pune–Nagpur Express — will originate from Hadapsar at 5:45 pm.
– 12128 Pune–CSMT Mumbai Express — will originate from Khadki at 5:55 pm.
– 99824 Pune–Lonavala Suburban — will originate from Shivajinagar.
– 99820 Pune–Lonavala Suburban — will originate from Shivajinagar.

Chennai Express to be regulated

Train No. 22159 CSMT Mumbai–MGR Chennai Central Express, commencing its journey on August 23, will be regulated for 40 minutes in the Lonavala–Shivajinagar section.

Passengers travelling on the affected routes have been advised to check the latest train running status and schedule before starting their journey through the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the official NTES app.
