Pune: Pisoli Residents Face Waterlogging, Muddy Roads For Nearly A Month

Pisoli, 24th August 2026: Residents of Antuley Nagar Road, behind Dharmavat Petrol Pump near Sherlyn Avenue in Pisoli, have been struggling with severe waterlogging and a muddy, uneven road for nearly a month, causing inconvenience and safety concerns for daily commuters.
The affected stretch, located in Ward No. 41, serves several residential societies and is also used by students, parents and staff travelling to a nearby school and college. Residents said the accumulated water has turned the road muddy and difficult to navigate, particularly for pedestrians and two-wheeler riders.
According to residents, the poor condition of the road has persisted for around a month, with water accumulation worsening the situation. They have appealed to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to inspect the stretch and take urgent measures to address the waterlogging and repair the road.
Resident Tehseen Teerandaz raised concerns over the condition of the road and urged the civic authorities to intervene at the earliest, stating that the ongoing problem is causing difficulties for residents and commuters using the stretch.
Speaking on the issue, PMC Junior Engineer Shrikant Phadtare said, “There is no stormwater drainage line at the location. I will look into a possible solution, speak with the higher authorities and work towards getting the required budget sanctioned.”
Residents are now seeking a permanent solution to the waterlogging and road condition, and have urged the PMC to take action before the situation causes further inconvenience or safety risks.
