Amanora Park Town Partners with Padcare Housing to Drive Responsible Sanitary Waste Management
Pune, 26th August 2026: Amanora Park Town, one of Pune’s prominent integrated townships, has taken another step towards building a more sustainable residential community by partnering with Padcare Housing to introduce responsible sanitary waste management across its residential community.
Sanitary waste remains one of the most overlooked waste streams generated at the household level. When mixed with regular waste, used sanitary pads can create challenges for waste handlers and often end up being landfilled or subjected to disposal methods that do not support a circular approach to waste management.
Through this initiative, residents will be encouraged to segregate sanitary pads at source and dispose of them through dedicated Padcare SafeBox units installed within the community. The collected waste will then be channelled through Padcare’s structured collection and recycling process, moving it away from conventional disposal routes and towards resource recovery.
The initiative is being introduced as part of Amanora Park Town’s broader efforts to encourage responsible waste practices and greater participation from residents. Along with infrastructure, the programme focuses on awareness and behavioural change, helping residents understand why segregation of sanitary waste matters and how simple actions at home can contribute to a cleaner and more responsible community.

Padcare Housing is a dedicated vertical of Padcare Labs, a Pune-based startup that built India’s first sanitary pad recycling technology, focusing on sustainable menstrual hygiene management practices in housing societies. Through source segregation, dedicated collection and recycling, Padcare Housing works with communities to create a more responsible and circular approach to sanitary waste management.
The partnership with Amanora is designed to demonstrate how large residential communities can integrate responsible sanitary waste management into their existing sustainability practices.
The initiative also highlights the growing role that housing societies and integrated townships can play in advancing Pune’s circular economy. By combining resident participation, responsible segregation and recycling, communities can move beyond simply disposing of waste towards creating systems that recover value from it.
