Pune: Labourer Injured After Marble Slabs Fall From Tempo on NIBM Road
Pune, 26th August 2026: A labourer was injured after a stack of marble slabs being transported in a tempo suddenly toppled and fell on him on NIBM Road in Pune on Wednesday.
According to preliminary information, the marble slabs were being transported for delivery when they suddenly shifted and fell, trapping the labourer underneath.
Local residents immediately rushed to the spot and helped rescue the injured worker from beneath the heavy slabs. He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. His condition is currently not known.
The incident was reported to the concerned authorities, who reached the spot and began assessing the situation.
The exact cause of the marble slabs shifting and falling is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
