‘Not Safe Even In Our Homes’: Woman Shares Videos After Attempted Home Intrusion, Questions Police Action

Nagpur, 27th August 2026: A woman has taken to social media alleging that her former security guard tried to enter her home forcefully while she was alone, and has questioned the police response following the incident.

In a video shared online, the woman said the man had previously worked as a security guard and allegedly used to stalk her sister. She also claimed that his behaviour and stares had made women and young girls in their residential society uncomfortable.

According to the woman, the man attempted to enter her house when she was alone. She said she managed to shut the door after a brief struggle, adding that the man appeared to be drunk and was physically weak at the time.

The video also includes footage from the incident showing the man outside the residence, along with people surrounding him. The woman said she was extremely panicked during the incident and questioned the response of the police personnel who arrived at the spot.

In a follow-up video, she claimed that the police reached the location around 40 to 45 minutes after the emergency was reported. She alleged that the officers appeared calm despite the situation and asked her questions that she considered irrelevant to the immediate emergency.

The woman further claimed that the man was detained and kept in jail for around 24 hours before being released. According to her, the family was not informed about his release, which she said raised concerns about what could happen if he returned to the residence.

She also questioned the process followed after the man’s release, saying that the family feared possible retaliation.

The videos have since circulated on social media, with the woman using them to raise concerns about women’s safety and emergency police response. In one of the videos, she urged women to remain cautious and said her experience had left her questioning whether women can rely on the police during an emergency.
