Pune Rail Block: Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jabalpur Trains Affected for 15 Days
Pune, 7th September 2026: Passengers travelling from Pune to Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jabalpur will face disruptions as several long-distance train services have been cancelled or curtailed during a 15-day railway block in the Pune division.
The cancellations are linked to Pre-Non-Interlocking (Pre-NI) and Non-Interlocking (NI) works being undertaken at Pune and Hadapsar yards for commissioning the Hadapsar–Ghorpadi third line. The works are scheduled from September 19 to October 4.
Among the affected services, the Indore–Daund Express, Jodhpur–Hadapsar Express, Pune–Jaipur Express and Pune–Jabalpur Express will not operate over their normal routes on specified dates.
Pune–Indore Service Affected
Train No. 22944 Indore–Daund Express will be short-terminated at Khadki from September 18 to October 3.
Its return service, Train No. 22943 Daund–Indore Express, will originate from Khadki instead of Daund from September 19 to October 4.
Pune–Jaipur Service
Train No. 12939 Pune–Jaipur Express will short-originate from Khadki on October 4, while Train No. 12940 Jaipur–Pune Express will short-terminate at Khadki on October 3.
Pune–Jodhpur Service
The 20495 Jodhpur–Hadapsar Express will short-terminate at Khadki on specified dates between September 18 and October 3.
The corresponding 20496 Hadapsar–Jodhpur Express will originate from Khadki instead of Hadapsar on specified dates between September 19 and October 4.
Pune–Jabalpur Service
Train No. 20162 Jabalpur–Pune Express will short-terminate at Daund on September 20.
Its return service, Train No. 20161 Pune–Jabalpur Express, will originate from Daund on September 21 instead of Pune.
Passengers travelling to these destinations during the block period are advised to check their train’s latest schedule and running status before commencing their journey, as the changes vary by train and journey date.
The railway works at Pune and Hadapsar yards are scheduled to continue until October 4, when the third-line commissioning work is planned.
