Pune Graduate Voters Rise By 50,807, Teachers’ Electorate Grows By 8,976

Pune, 30th September 2026: The final electoral rolls for the Pune division’s Graduate and Teachers’ constituencies have been published following the completion of the claims and objections process, with the number of registered voters seeing a substantial increase over the draft lists.

The Graduate constituency recorded an increase of more than 50,000 voters, while the Teachers’ constituency saw nearly 9,000 additional voters in the final rolls.

The draft electoral roll for the Graduate constituency had 2,57,016 voters across the five districts of the Pune division. A total of 56,737 claims were filed during the revision process. Of these, 52,546 claims were accepted, while 4,191 were rejected, resulting in the inclusion of 52,546 names in the final electoral roll.

As many as 1,713 objections were also filed regarding voters’ names. All the objections were accepted, resulting in the deletion of 1,739 names from the draft roll.

Consequently, the number of voters in the Graduate constituency increased from 2,57,016 in the draft roll to 3,07,823 in the final roll, a net increase of 50,807 voters.

In Pune district, the number of Graduate constituency voters increased from 50,344 in the draft roll to 61,113 in the final list.

The Teachers’ constituency also witnessed a significant rise in voter registrations. The draft roll had 42,774 voters across the five districts. During the claims process, 9,449 claims were submitted, of which 9,111 were accepted and 438 rejected.

A total of 23 objections were filed, all of which were accepted. Following the deletion of 35 names from the draft roll, the final voter count stood at 51,750.

Thus, the Teachers’ constituency recorded a net increase of 8,976 voters compared with the draft electoral roll.
