Pune: COEP Technological University to Host 20th Edition of MindSpark on October 3 and 4
Shivajinagar, 1st October 2026: COEP Technological University will host the 20th edition of its annual technical festival, MindSpark’26, on October 3 and 4, bringing together students, innovators and technology enthusiasts from across India.
Themed “Infinite Continuum,” this year’s festival draws inspiration from Voyager 1, the spacecraft exploring interstellar space and approaching the distance light travels in one day from Earth. The theme reflects scientific curiosity, technological innovation and the pursuit of knowledge beyond established boundaries.
MindSpark is among Maharashtra’s major student-led technical festivals. The previous edition attracted more than 40,000 visitors, and the organisers expect a larger turnout this year.
The two-day festival will feature more than 30 technical and non-technical events, including a 24-hour hackathon, Robotica, Auto Expo, Bike Expo, Tech Expo and Genius Junior (GJ).
The hackathon will challenge participants to develop technology-based solutions within a 24-hour period. Robotica will feature robotics competitions testing participants’ engineering, design, control and strategic skills. The Auto Expo, Bike Expo and Tech Expo will showcase automobiles, motorcycles and technology-focused exhibits.
Genius Junior will provide school students with an opportunity to explore the university campus and participate in activities designed to encourage interest in science and technology.

Focus on innovation and practical learning
The organisers said MindSpark aims to provide students with a platform to apply classroom learning, develop technical skills and exchange ideas with fellow participants.
Technical Secretary Siddharth Pundale described the festival as a platform for students to develop and present innovative ideas. Faculty Advisor Dr Radhika D. Joshi highlighted its role in extending learning beyond the classroom, while Dr M. P. Khond, Director of the Board of Students’ Development, emphasised its contribution to developing students’ technical abilities.
The organising team also acknowledged the support of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunil Bhirud and Registrar Dr. D. N. Sonawane in the festival’s development over the years.
With its 20th edition, MindSpark aims to continue bringing together students from different institutions to participate in technical competitions, explore emerging technologies and collaborate on innovative projects.
The festival will be held at COEP Technological University in Pune on October 3 and 4, 2026.
