Pune, 10th October 2026: The deadline for farmers to consent to land acquisition for the proposed Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje International Airport in Purandar ends today (October 10), with the district administration ruling out any extension. Compulsory acquisition will begin for land whose owners fail to give consent, officials said.

The administration has secured consent for around 97% of the 1,216 hectares required for the project. Consent for the remaining land, estimated at around 40 hectares, is still pending.

The acquisition covers seven villages in Purandar taluka — Vanpuri, Kumbharvalan, Ekhatpur, Khanwadi, Pargaon, Udachiwadi and Munjwadi.
