Bishop’s Undri, Loyola, JN Petit Register Emphatic Wins

Pune, 12th October 2026: Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Undri, Loyola High School and JN Petit Technical School registered emphatic victories, while St. Vincent’s High School and Vidya Bhavan High School also booked their semifinal berths in the Loyola Football Cup 2026 at the Loyola H.S. Ground, Pashan, here on Monday.

The Loyola Football Cup is being organised by Loyola School and Ex-Loyola Alumni Network (ELAN) and sponsored by Tata Autocom.

In the morning session, Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Undri, produced a commanding display to thrash The Kalyani School 7-1 in the Under-14 quarterfinals. Kaustub Panchare stole the show with a hat-trick (35’, 40’, 45’), while Jayden David (35’, 47’) struck twice. Saalif Baig (8’) and Shreeyan Singh (34’) added one each. Akshaj Agarwal (42’) scored the consolation goal for Kalyani.

Loyola High School were equally impressive, hammering JN Petit Technical School 6-1 in another Under-14 quarterfinal. Shaun Angre (16’, 18’) and Nived Nair (36’, 41’) netted a brace each, while Aarav Ingle (8’) and Shardul Manohar (45’) completed the tally. Agastya Barde (7’) had given JN Petit an early lead before Loyola struck six unanswered goals.

St. Vincent’s High School also advanced comfortably, blanking St. Xavier’s High School 3-0. Rayyan Punjabi (11’, 49’) struck twice, while Anvic Lobo (47’) added the third.

In the Under-16 category, JN Petit Technical School staged a remarkable comeback to crush Infant Jesus School 8-2. Trailing 0-2 after Shardul Karande’s early double (2’, 10’), JN Petit hit back with eight unanswered goals.

Danish Gonal spearheaded the goal rush with a hat-trick (30’, 47’, 50’), while Dhruv Pujari (13’, 22’) netted twice. Tanvish Khairnar (25’), Yug Chowhan (46’) and Rugved Ghule (48’) chipped in with a goal each.

In another Under-16 quarterfinal, Vidya Bhavan High School edged past Blue Ridge Public School 1-0 in a closely contested encounter, with Jonathan Salve’s 38th-minute strike proving decisive.
