Pune, 19th October 2026: Rana Suryavanshi, who was undergoing treatment at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, is now out of danger but will remain under close medical observation for the next 48 to 72 hours, the hospital said in an official statement.

Dr Mudit Saxena, Group CEO of Ruby Hall Clinic, said Suryavanshi had been successfully treated but was taking time to recover after losing a significant amount of blood due to the nature of his injuries.

According to the hospital, its critical care team will continuously monitor his condition over the next two to three days to manage his recovery and ensure he is medically stable.

The hospital has requested the media, well-wishers and members of the public to respect Suryavanshi’s privacy during this crucial phase of his recovery.

Ruby Hall Clinic said further official updates on his health would be shared at appropriate times.

Rana Suryavanshi, head of Rana Shipping Company, was attacked near Baramati airport on Sunday, sustaining an injury to his right hand in an assault involving a sharp weapon.

Baramati Sub-Divisional Police Officer Chaitanya Kadam said that Suryavanshi had visited an area near a railway bridge in the Gujarwadi jurisdiction for personal work. He had reportedly left the government-provided security detail behind on Bhigwan Road and was accompanied by two or three private bodyguards in his vehicle.

While Suryavanshi was talking to friends after getting out of his vehicle, two people arrived on a scooter. The suspects, who were wearing masks, reportedly introduced themselves as his fans and said they wanted to take a photograph with him. They also brought a bouquet.

During the interaction, one of the suspects allegedly attacked Suryavanshi with a sharp weapon, inflicting a wound approximately three to five inches long on his right hand, Kadam said.

Suryavanshi was subsequently shifted to Pune for further medical treatment.
