Pune, 24th October 2026: The probe into alleged irregularities in a government land deal in Mundhwa involving Parth Pawar has widened to include officials in administrative circles, with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) issuing notices to two officers on special duty (OSDs) in the office of deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar.

The officers, identified as Vikas Patil and Ram Chaube, will be questioned about their alleged roles in the land transaction involving Amadea Enterprises LLP, a company linked to Rajya Sabha MP Parth Pawar, Sunetra Pawar’s son, sources said.

Amadea Enterprises LLP is at the centre of the controversy, with Parth Pawar holding a 99% stake in the company and Digvijay Patil holding the remaining 1%. Digvijay Patil has been named as an accused in connection with the transaction. During a recent hearing, the court questioned why Parth Pawar, despite holding a 99% stake in the company, had not been made an accused in the case.

The court’s observations have triggered fresh discussion about the direction of the investigation. The EOW is now examining the roles of individuals connected with the transaction. Investigators have also reportedly come across WhatsApp conversations and other digital evidence during the probe.

The two officers had previously worked as personal assistants to then deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. Their administrative connections and possible roles in the transaction are therefore expected to come under scrutiny.

Senior officials at the Pune police commissionerate confirmed that notices had been issued in the case. However, they did not clarify whether the notices were limited to the two OSDs or had been served on other individuals as well, citing the ongoing investigation.

The officers concerned are likely to be summoned soon to record their statements.

The investigation is expected to examine the alleged irregularities in the land deal, administrative links and the roles of officials connected with the transaction. The verification of WhatsApp conversations and other digital evidence, along with statements recorded during questioning, is likely to determine the next course of action by the EOW.
