Pune: PMPML Reopens Dhankawadi Pass Centre After Six-Year Closure

Dhankawadi, 30th October 2026: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has reopened its pass centre in Dhankawadi from November 1, 2026, following repeated demands from residents and commuters in the area.

The pass centre had remained closed since the COVID-19 pandemic. Students, working professionals, labourers, senior citizens and local public representatives had repeatedly requested PMPML to restore the facility to reduce the inconvenience caused by having to travel elsewhere to obtain bus passes.

Taking these demands into consideration, PMPML has decided to resume operations at the Dhankawadi pass centre.

According to the transport body, the centre will remain open from Monday to Saturday, between 9 am and 4 pm. It will remain closed on Sundays.

The facility is expected to benefit students, women commuters, working professionals, labourers and senior citizens residing in Dhankawadi and neighbouring areas.

PMPML has appealed to commuters to make use of the reopened facility.

For further information, commuters can contact PMPML at 020-24503236.
